Money matters
Two kinds of payment — one stays, one comes back.
You'll pay online (debit/credit card, UPI or net banking) during registration. Understand which part is refundable before you commit to a round.
Security deposit
A larger refundable deposit that discourages frivolous choices. It is returned to the same bank account, typically a few weeks after counselling, if you either don't take a seat or join your allotted college. Abandoning a seat you were bound to join can mean forfeiting it.
Exact amounts change every season and differ for AIQ, deemed and state counselling. Never rely on last year's figures — confirm the current fee table on the official portal before paying.
Allotment day onwards
From allotment letter to confirmed seat.

Download the allotment letter
Once the result is published, download and print your provisional allotment letter from the portal.

Report within the window
Reach the allotted college before the reporting deadline with all originals and copies. Missing the window can cancel the allotment.

Document verification
The college verifies your originals against your application and category claims. Discrepancies must be resolved on the spot.

Pay admission fee & confirm
Pay the college admission fee. Your seat is secured only after verification and payment are complete.
Common questions
Quick answers before you start.
Do I need to register separately for AIQ and state counselling?
Yes. All India Quota (MCC) and state quota are independent processes on separate portals with separate fees. If you're eligible for both, register for both to widen your options.
Is choice locking really mandatory?
Locking your filled choices is required for them to be considered. If you don't lock manually, the portal may auto-lock your choices at the deadline — so always review and lock deliberately, and keep a printout.
What happens if I'm not allotted a seat in Round 1?
You remain eligible for Round 2, the Mop-up round and the Stray Vacancy round (subject to each round's registration rules). Not getting a Round-1 seat is common and not the end of the process.
Will my security deposit be refunded?
Generally yes — the refundable deposit comes back to your registered bank account after counselling if you either don't take a seat or join your allotted college. The registration fee is not refundable. Abandoning a binding seat can lead to forfeiture, so keep your bank details accurate.
Who counsels AYUSH (BAMS, BHMS) seats?
AYUSH UG seats are counselled centrally by AACCC under the Ministry of AYUSH for the all-India share, alongside the respective state quotas — separate from the MBBS/BDS MCC process.
